The Ness Exotic Wellness Center is pleased to have Dr. Frances Wilkerson on staff.

Dr. Wilkerson has practiced veterinary medicine since 1992. After graduating from the University Of Wisconsin School Of Veterinary Medicine, she attended Cornell University in New York for her postgraduate clinical internship. She moved to the Chicago area in 1994, and began working at Midwest Bird and Exotic Animal Hospital with Drs. Susan Brown and Richard Nye. She has also volunteered in the veterinary departments of Sea World of Florida, The San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, Willowbrook Wildlife Center and the Lincoln Park Zoo.

Dr. Frances Wilkerson diversified her veterinary expertise by working as a relief veterinarian at Arboretum View Animal Hospital Emergency Department.

She has a special interest in Exotic Animal Emergency Medicine and is an American Red Cross Authorized instructor for Pet CPR and First Aid.

Her interests outside of the veterinary field include theatre. You may find her name in a Chicago theater program, as she is also an actress! She is an ensemble member of Eclipse Theatre Company and has worked at various theatres including The Goodman Theatre and Victory Gardens. She is also a member of The Screen Actors Guild and The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

We know you will be as happy as we are to have Dr. Wilkerson with us. She is quickly becoming a vital member of our staff, and we look forward to her being an important part of the Ness Exotic Wellness Center.
